grandfathers’ tradition, only the best selected grapes and a
lot of patience are involved in the Vin Santo production.
After a minimum of 5 years of aging in the small barrels
called “Caratelli”, it is assembled and aged again also in
glass containers for another year before being bottled and
released on the market.
Grapes: Malvasia del Chianti 66% and Trebbiano toscano 34%
Aging: 5 years in small chestnut and oak barrels- caratelli
followed by 10-12 months of aging in glass containers before
the bottling process.
